                                                                 Sunday School For Adults- 9:45

The Agape/Carl White  Class, Room # 10 Bldg. B
The Agape Class uses the International  Sunday School Lessons for Christian Teaching.  Pattie Nelson (791-4641) is the president, Ted Fritz (397-0482) is the vice president and Tony Dunn (791-4062) is the treasurer.  Members of the class sign up to teach on various Sundays.  They use the Teacher’s Book and any supplementary materials they have.  Members of the class join in on discussions from time to time.
Class members are very caring as they visit or deliver flowers to shut-ins, take food to those in need, and collect donations for families in financial need.  The class takes turns in serving the Celebrate Recovery group.  A Christmas party is held each year with a delicious meal, games, and a gift exchange.  We sing each Sunday to those having a birthday or anniversary. We have fun in sharing and are serious about our Christianity. Come join us and look us over.  Contact: Pattie Nelson, 791-4
641.

The Good News Class, Room #212, Bldg. D
The Good News Class is a verse by verse discussion of the New Testament seeking biblical meaning and how it applies to us today. Study often evolves to current family and lifestyle considerations. Good News is informal in dress and conversation and individual participation unites the group in common understanding of God’s Word. We invite you to join us. For more information, call Todd Sammons, 392-7056.

The Koinonia Class, Room #16, Bldg. C
Koinonia represents the special Christian fellowship that existed in the New Testament Church. Today we extend that same fellowship to anyone looking for a Sunday School Class. Since the class was first organized around 1969 it has grown in size from 9 members to over 100. It has met in various places, the first being the choir loft of the original sanctuary. However, moving has not dampened our spirits or enthusiasm, nor has it diminished our numbers. Our membership is made up of an inter-generational age group ranging from teenage to seventy-five plus. The fact that our members come from many different walks of life has a distinct advantage in that it gives each member a different perspective from his or her own and leads to lively discussion. Many of the Sunday School teachers and church leaders who are presently serving came from the Koinonia Class. We invite you to be a part of our class on Sunday mornings. Contact Mike Page, 686-9407, for more information.

The New Covenant Class, Room #3, Bldg. B
In this class, quite often, current affair topics are brought to the table and lively discussions occur. Concern is always given to the Christian response to the topic. The class has gotten together on many "goodwill" projects. We are always ready to give a helping hand and to welcome new people into our group. Curriculum is biblical and chosen by the class, which consists of mature adults. For more information about our class, please contact Betty Bowker, 313-0885.

The New Light Class, Room #208, Bldg. D

The New Light Class, so appropriately named, is well-known for the new light shed on the scriptures by its members and teachers. They have a desire to study the scriptures through modern day issues dealing with adolescents, families, money, stress, careers, etc. The class was introduced to the Serendipity Study Bible and subsequently to the Serendipity Small Group Studies many years ago. This became the perfect answer for bringing "new light" and new meaning for working, growing couples & singles. The New Light Class is proud to call each other "family." Please come join the "family" each Sunday morning at 9:45 in room #208. If you would like more information, please call Wes Scott, 799-9139.

Pathfinders, Room #203, Bldg. D
The Pathfinders focus on current issues as they relate to our everyday lives. Most members have a busy parental and work schedule. Particular attention is given to developing and enhancing a Christian framework for the home and workplace. A variety of media and Bible Series are used. Leadership is rotated among those willing, and lively and constructive interaction occurs. Very little preparation is required. Contact Tony or Dana Brigman for more information at 793-6679.

The Sanctuary Class, Conference Room, Bldg. D
The Sanctuary Class is a small group of dedicated Christian adults of all ages and backgrounds.  Although our class name derives from our first meetings in the church sanctuary, we kept the name because we find sanctuary and respite in our fellowship and growth.  Each Sunday we begin with the devotional reading of the day from Oswald Chambers’ My Utmost for His Highest.  The class is currently working its way through the Fruits of the Spirit book series.  This series focuses our discussions on a critical reading of the scripture and how it relates to our daily lives.  Each person’s perspective is different, which makes for good discussion and a supportive environment.  For more information about our class, contact Carmen Nunalee (547-9624, elliottcl@gmail.com).

The Seekers Class, Room #2, Bldg. B
The Seekers are just that - seeking to get acquainted and understand the Word of God in the most uncomplicated way. This class is one of the newest adult classes at PVUMC, organized in May 2000, on the request of several members who had gotten out of the Sunday School habit over the years and needed to refresh their knowledge. We invite any and all who wish to find a new Sunday School home. Our doors are always open and there is always a chair available for you. Contact Ross Williams for more information.

The Serenity Class, Room #202, Bldg. D
Currently this class looking at scripture and what it means in our world today. Contact Amanda Hale for more information at 270-5425.

Young Professionals Class, Room #4, Bldg. B
This is a new Sunday School class for young professionals who have been out of school and in the work place for a couple of years (typical age range 25 to 35).  Please come and join our class as we learn about God and develop a network of Christian friends.  If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Michele Martin.
