Pine Valley United Methodist Church values excellence in worship through engaging preaching and inspirational music and worship arts. Our worship services are warm, nurturing and Spirit-led, seeking to connect all to experience the transforming love of God.
We live stream our services. If you are not able to be with us during a service, please feel free to watch live online at this link. The linked page also has archived streams of past services.
We offer two different worship environments each Sunday morning:
- Traditional Services at 8:30 and at 11:00 in the Sanctuary
- A Contemporary Service at 9:45 in the Christian Life Center
The Traditional Services are hymn-led with piano and organ accompaniment. Special music is presented weekly by the adult choir, children’s choirs, IGNITE (youth musical arts), hand-bell choir, or ensembles.
The Contemporary Service, called “The Bridge”, features praise band-led music with multimedia presentation.
What to know if you are visiting:
We do not ask our first time worship visitors to stand nor do we give you a special sticker to wear. If it is your first time, we will have a bag of information and goodies to give you on your way out. If you sign the attendance pad with your address, our pastor will send you a note.
Our parking lots can be entered from Stonewall Jackson Drive or Shipyard Boulevard. We do ask that you follow the pavement markings and exit only onto Stonewall Jackson Drive.
We have no dress code. As a church in a beach community, shorts and t-shirts are not uncommon in worship.
Each service has a children’s time. After the children’s time in the traditional services, children may return to their seats or children aged 3 through first grade are invited to attend Children’s Church. After the children’s time in the Bridge, children may return to their seats or go to age/grade-specific Sunday School classes.
